I have acne-prone skin and a 4-day rafting/camping trip coming up. Last time I used makeup remover towels but I broke out badly. Any suggestions?

What kind of makeup remover towels did you use? I’m prone to acne and can’t use a lot of products, but Neutrogena seems to work really well for me. Either that, or you can use cold cream, astringent pads might work… anything disposable. Just make sure your skin is moisturized and bring a washcloth just in case. If you’re rafting, I assume there’s a river nearby… wash your face in that? :P berserkerofdoom

Unscented baby wipes are great for cleaning and removing make up from your face temporarily or any other time. ocean zebra

i would recommend simple baby wipes because they have no perfume in them…they also come in travel pack size so ideal for a camping holiday..

hope this helps and happy camping. jemmaloo04

Try taking a few fresh bottles of water with you. You may be near a lake but most times you do not want to wash your face in the lake. Get some regular cotton soft cloths and make sure to bring whatever face wash or moisturizer you use with you. Each morning just pour the water onto the cloth and start washing. The type of cloths I am referring to do not have any special chemicals in them, try looking in the baby department because they are generally recommended for a baby’s skin. That should work great for you since you have sensitive skin. acey5654

Two essential pieces of camping equipment for me are a coffee pot and a dish basin. Use the coffee pot to heat up some water and use the basin as if it were your sink at home to wash your face. aqx99
