What should I wear to an interview at an outdoors store? A store with hunting, fishing, boating, camping stuff?

I think that what you chose is perfect. Wearing black slacks and a dress shirt is perfect. You want to go in there looking professional. You do not wanna be over-dressed and trust me, slacks and a dress shirt is not overdressed, and it’s not under-dressed. It’s Perfect for the kind of interview you are going to. That actually sounds good, what you are planning to wear. Don’t wear a tie, though. You want to look at least one step higher than what the dress code is. It is alright to overdress, I actually wore a suit to an interview once wear I was extremely over dressed but wound up that I got the job because I wore the suit.
