What is camping like at Michigan International Speedway?
I am considering taking a group of friends to the June race at MIS. We won’t be able to get there until Friday afternoon? Will there still be available spots? We are looking into tent camping. Any other recommendations on camping here would be appreciated.

Camping at and around MIS is awesome, it’s a bit crazy to so be ready for it. I am not sure if you will still get anything but if you wait till the Friday before I can just about guarantee you will not get any campsites. You should start calling campgrounds now to see if you can get anything. Here is a link to the camping around MIS. If you can try to get into the Brooklyn Trails Campground that is the nicest of the bunch and only about 1/2 mile from MIS, they have a store & nice hot showers and it’s a relatively clean place.

I stayed at this place called, “The Way Back Inn.” It was tent camping and we got our spot very last minute. It was about 20-30 minutes from the track and I enjoyed it. There was karaoke and everything. I can only be Rosie
if you just go there with out a spot good luck at getting one that will be close.. thta is about the same for every track
at Chicagoland it was sold out within minutes of the few spots that opened up.. and spots inside the track are costly.. starting at roughly $500 and going up
