Well, that’s two different questions. As to the second, the key may be, for all sorts of reasons, to give them an experience that is easy. The more beautiful the views, the better. There are few thrills higher than turning pubescences onto the woods.

i think thats great and you will have plenty of memories of your own after this trip. I just always enjoyed cooking on the fire, the smell of firewood burning, the fresh air blowing in my tent window. WOOHOO i am going camping next weekend.

My most vivid memory is when a friend and I were drinking coffee next to our campfire after breakfast on a wilderness lake, and we watched a cow moose and calf swim across the lake and come up on shore about 50 yds away. My buddy said “Now that you don’t see at home.” We see lots of moose, but that time is special to me.

one is one night about midnight I had a coyote run through camp and actually jumped over me and my camp fire!!!! the scary part was I never heard a sound….he could have had me if he wanted to.! I was sitting on the ground by the fire.
The other one is once I was setting by a camp fire about mid-night , and it was so quiet and all of the sudden a wolf cryed out about 25 yrds away……way scary!!!!!
Another time I was fishing high in the mountains and sitting between two boulders along a river….out of the corner of my eye was this big brown thing above me ….I was freaked out but wanted to know what it was….so slowly I turned my head to look and it only turned out to be a mink on the rock above me……..once while crossing a log between two lakes a weasil came out to meet me half way and stood on his hind legs and challenged me…. he actually growled !!..after a short dicussion the weasil turned and allowed me to cross!
