I have never been camping and I want to try it with a few friends. I live in So Cal and I hear Nor Cal has a better camping experience… So any good experiences/suggestions? Nothing too hardcore though, my survival skills in the wilderness isn’t so vast… I don’t even have a tent yet.

Well my girlfriend and i go camping often and we’re going again in a day. We’re staying at a campground with a tent. We’ve been together 3+ years. I have a ring and i think i’ll propose to her while we’re hiking. Do you think i should propose in a different situation? And what type of romantic things should i do while we’re camping?

We’ll be renting a car so it doesn’t have to be accessible to public transportation. We’re looking for a real wilderness type of camping experience, rather than putting up a tent on a large lawn or within view of other campers. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Samantha and Julie are camping in the wilderness. They decide to leave their tent and walk around a lake. They begin by going in opposite directions. Samantha hikes at the rate of 3 miles per hour. Julie hikes at the rate of 4 miles per hour. The perimeter of the lake is 15 miles. How long will it be before they meet?

They are somewhat full.
I’m wanting to store all my camoing stuff in one big box. Is there any harm in putting the small propane tanks in with the tent, backpack, tarps, stove, ect.? The box will then be put in a garage. Should I jst get rid of the tanks? Do they ever leak? I know you would have to pucture then pretty hard for anything too bad to happen.

I rarely seem to ever get a good night’s sleep while camping. I’ve got a comfortable air mattress and a giant tent. My sleeping bag isn’t great so that might be the problem, but it isn’t as if I’m always cold. Are there tricks to getting a good night’s sleep when camping?

I am going camping with 4 other families. Us kids are all girls and there’s:
two 15 year olds
four 13 year olds and
two 11 year olds

Besides the essentials (ie. tent food etc) what are some fun things to bring to keep us occupied the entire week?

I’m going camping this weekend and I’m not sure what to apply the waterproof spray on. I have already waterproofed the rain fly for my tent. Do I need to waterproof anything else?

I am going on my first camping trip this summer with my mom, dad, and 7 and 9 year old sisters. We are going camping in a small foresty area by a beach. There are clearings for a tent and there is even a campfire area and a beach, of course. Does anyone have any ideas for games, ideas what to bring, do, and how to make the most of our 3 day trip? It will be our first camping trip.
