I’m looking for a durable minicam to take on camping trips?
I’m looking for a simple video camera (like the popular flip camera) that I can take on multiple winter camping trips this winter, I want something durable, with image stabilization, as well as a very good battery life? I’ve looked at both the flip and the kodak zi8 and neither seem to fit all of these. Suggestions?

I can’t really think of anything else. I have the Kodak zi6 and its been a pretty nice video camera. I like making movies and I have used that for alot of my stuff. it’s really been nice. i think it would do a good job, excpet that you wouldnt be able to get any good footage at night. it’s very inexpensive though. you should be able to get one for less than $120. it might be something worth looking into. anything else would probably be a little bit nicer and have more features, but it would be more expensive and not necessarily as durable. it’s up to you! i haven’t looked into the zi8’s, so i can’t tell you if that would be a good deal. but have you looked at the zi6’s? they would be cheaper i am sure, and it might not be as bad of a camera as you think. go to to learn more about them. you can even see some videos i made with them. laughybaffy
