Beats me. I go camping with dirt motorcycle or sea kayak.
That’s a sleeping bag, four MRE, bowie in boot scabbard,
magnesium fire starter and a waterproof tarp with sheathed
11mm ties. I call my outings Cowboy Camping. For reader,
friendly fired flatulency is only answer that comes to mind. kavekarst

For me.camping is a time to leave the TV, computer,job, and rest of the world behind. I take a cell phone for emergencies, but I don't use it for any other reason. There is a profound quiet when you get away from the city and fishing and hiking are so theraputic for me. f0ur2one

Camping is always worth it!!! tell your mom that you want to join scouts and go camping.

I’m sure there are plenty of dry foods you could bring with you, unfortunately a whole lot of them don’t come to mind right now but the following do:

Cereal
Pasta (Ramen noodles, rice, Kraft macaroni & cheese)
Dried Fruit
Crackers
Cookies
Granola or protein bars

Too bad you can’t bring canned foods, I can think of a lot of those… Daphne N

You may find some of the ideas on the above link helpful if you decide to fly. I have driven to Rocky Mountain National Park from Texas several times. And I usually camp at the KOA campgrounds in Goodland, Kansas because it is a good stopover city on the way. for the halibut
